The Power of Rejection: How to Turn It into a Positive Force in Your Life

“Rejection is Redirection”

If you’re into self-help, it’s likely that you’ve seen that phrase everywhere. And it’s true.

When someone or something rejects us, it opens up space for the next possibility. Perhaps it’s greater than we ever imagined.

Sure it’s normal to feel bummed about something not working out, but when you hold the thought that the universe/God is working for you, you’ll realize that every happening in your life, good or bad, is all part of the divine plan.

Some new ways to look at rejection:

1. Maybe you’re not meant to have that person or that thing until you work on a part of yourself that keeps you from holding on to or appreciating the thing you desire. Perhaps you deep down don’t believe you’re worthy and therefore sabotage good things. It may be time to work on that self worth. Therapy and #innerchild programs can be life changing; they help you understand the root of your low self worth and explore how you can give yourself the sweet words, the kindness and support that you needed.

2. What you desire is actually not good enough. You are meant for way more. You didn’t come on this earth to play small. You have the capacity to have the life of your dreams, so dream it and make it happen! However, you have to believe it’s possible for you. Magic happens to those who believe it. For example, the partner you want — maybe they’re great in some way but you know that if you hold out longer, you’ll find someone with the same goals and values. For me, I seek a person who wants to own a cabin and a waterfront home with me. I won’t settle for someone who doesn’t think that’s possible, and boy have I dated some men who have called this impossible. Dream bigger baby.

All in all, rejection, although it hurts, is always a positive thing. And when you start to spin it in a positive light, you’ll realize something better is coming (I promise you it is!) and next thing you know you’ll be throwing @arianagrande lyrics around everywhere… like her famous “thk you, next!” and let rejection roll off your shoulders a bit easier this time.

And then you will await the next big thing that’s meant for you. It just might be better than you ever imagined. 💖
